Sticking to convictions is admirable, but in extreme conditions make you inflexible and rigid. Do you stick to your stance even when you’re proven wrong? Take a look at your mental attitude. Are you stubborn? Stubborn is being convinced that you are right, whether you are or not. If you are stubborn, you may sometimes miss the truth about a situation or a person.

A Mindset of Knowledge Leads You to Wealth

What’s behind the mindset of knowing? Learning the facts, doing research, listening to opinions and expertise by others, and using your intuition all lead to knowing the truth about people and situations.

When you know the truth, you make the correct decisions about your business, your investments, where to spend your money or not, and who to trust. Knowing the truth about others helps you to intuit who they are: Are they trustworthy? Honest? Capable? Knowledgeable?

Knowing the personal traits of others is necessary to help you build wealth and success. It is necessary to know the character of someone before entering a business deal. Believing they are honest and reliable is not the same as knowing.

Knowing is not the same as believing. It is important to distinguish the difference between the two to make the correct decisions in life.

The Definition of Belief

Conviction is a mindset that certain beliefs about ourselves or others are true. These beliefs are usually formed by outside information flooding our consciousness. We have many preset beliefs and prejudices about people, money, and life.

When we are presented with evidence to the contrary, we become stubborn and cannot accept information that contradicts our beliefs.

Because of this, we can miss the truth about a situation or a person.

We become blinded by beliefs, and when this happens, we can miss out on some of the greatest opportunities in life.

Conviction Through Knowing

But there is another kind of conviction. The knowledge that we have developed through research, from experts, from introspection, and from being open to the universe can form convictions of truth that will help us manifest our desires in life.

Look intensely at your beliefs and then do something you may never have done before: Question your beliefs.

Try these 10 Steps to take charge of your beliefs:

  1. Start with one certain belief that you have about any person or situation in your life.
  2. Examine your beliefs about that person or situation.
  3. Why do you think they are true?
  4. Is there something in your mindset that could be challenged about your beliefs?
  5. What is the truth about the person or situation?
  6. Experiment with finding out more truth about the person or the situation. If applicable, look at reputable and trustworthy sources.
  7. Look deeper and ask questions.
  8. Give this process time and see what develops.
  9. Challenge yourself to give up one belief and replace it with truth.
  10. Watch as your relationships are enhanced and changed for the better.

Learning to Rule Your Life

Introspection is one of the greatest tools to help you succeed in manifesting your goals. It helps you to release the junk and develop wisdom. No matter what your goals in life are, wisdom will take you there with greater speed and efficiency.

If You Are Struggling to Question Your Beliefs, Try:

  1. Ask yourself why a certain belief is so important and ingrained into your consciousness. Has it been there since childhood? Is it possible that what was true so many years ago is still true today?
  2. Is it important that you share with anyone else that you are experimenting with a deep dive into your beliefs? Consider that it might be more powerful to work on this by yourself.
  3. As a challenge to yourself, do a reverse belief for one week and see what happens. Have fun with it. Release the old. Try something new.
  4.  Be committed to remaining open during this process and be ready to be surprised at the new you.

The goal is for your life to be ruled by you, not your beliefs, and to discover the truth about people and situations so that you can have the freedom and emotional and financial resources to fulfill your goals in life.
