A Conversation With Your Future Self
Imagine, if you will, yourself in the future, say 15 years from now. Though not that far away as time certainly flies in modern society, you might be surprised to learn that either a lot was accomplished, or you might be disappointed to learn what was not.
If you could meet your future self today, what would you say, and what would be said back to you? “Imagine stepping into a time machine and having a conversation with your future self. The Advantages of a Future-Now Conversation

Who Is Your Future Self?
It’s an interesting self-reflection in meeting your future self, when you realize, of course, that this future self is a part of you where you open the gate of your consciousness to a different dimension that you do not normally open.
By initiating this conversation, you are agreeing to step out of your present self into the future, investigating where you might land after a long journey.
At the same time, you can look at the decisions you made, the turns you took off the beaten path, and what would have happened had you tried a different plan.

How to Have a Conversation With Your Future Self
Step 1: Prepare a time and space that allows you to day-drift into the future. In this exercise, it is necessary to be willing to let go of the past and the present and connect with the future.
Step 2: Focus on relaxing. Deep breathe, in and out, and let go, let go, let go.
Step 3: Invoke and invite your future self to participate in a conversation with you.
Step 4: Use the script below, or something similar, to begin the journey into the future.
Now, future self, I invoke your consciousness into my awareness of today, of right now, so that we may have a conversation that is honest and enlightening. I want to begin by visualizing what you look like, how you have aged, how your health is, and what your life is like 15 years from now.
I see you and where you live, and I see your mate or partner, and children or not, and I see where you are working and what you are doing.
Please tell me about your life at this point. What you are contributing to life, to your family, and to your career.
Tell me about your finances and your investments and how things have worked out for you up to this point on a financial level.
I am interested to know who your friends are and what your social life is like. I would like to know what you do in your spare time.
After you have suggested the things you want to know, then close your eyes, lean back, and day-drift into the future. Let your future self share with you where you are, what transpired, the successes you have now, and how they progressed into the future.
When this session ends, write a letter to your future self about the conversation you just had. And then write a letter back to you from your future self.
The Point Is…
The point in meeting and conversing with your future self is to bring clarity to your mind about what you are doing in your life right now, and how you might want to make changes going forward.
In your altered state of consciousness with your future self, it is similar to sitting on a mountaintop looking down at the valley with all the streams and buildings and people.
The idea is to change your viewpoint so that it is more expansive and can take in the whole picture. From the mountaintop, you can see Mile #1 and Mile #15 all at the same time. So the same is true of accessing an altered state of consciousness where you can see yourself now and in 15 years, all at the same time.
Be kind to your future self and you will get the same back to you now! Have fun and relax with this exercise and let your imagination flow. You never know how important meeting your future self will be!
